About

I’m a paramedic working shifts for the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine in Dnipropetrovsk region. Over the last 3 years and 2 months I’ve responded to more than a thousand emergency calls — cardiac events, trauma, everything an ambulance crew is called out for on a given night.

Where it started

Before medicine, I worked in B2B sales in veterinary pharmaceuticals — building relationships with clinics, understanding a technical product well enough to sell it, and learning how to talk to people who are under pressure and short on time. A lot of that transferred directly into prehospital care: reading a room fast, explaining something clearly in ten seconds, staying calm when someone else can’t.

Medicine, and where AI fits in

I’m currently a medical student, studying alongside my shifts. On the road, I’ve started integrating ChatGPT into how I work: running through differentials faster when a case doesn’t fit a clean pattern, and using it to draft and complete the documentation every call requires, so less of a shift gets lost to paperwork. It’s a small habit, but it’s changed how much I can actually think about the patient in front of me instead of the form behind them.

Where I’m headed

That habit is what’s pulling me toward HealthTech. I want to keep working close to patients while building the tools that make frontline medicine faster and less error-prone — software written by someone who has actually stood in the back of an ambulance, not just studied it.
