Why a paramedic is starting a blog

I’ve wanted to write about this for a while: what it actually looks like to bring AI tools onto an ambulance shift, in practice, not in theory.

Most of what gets written about AI in medicine is either very technical or very abstract. I want this blog to sit in between — short, specific posts about real calls (details changed, obviously), real documentation problems, and the small workflow changes that end up mattering.

A few things I’m planning to write about:

How I use ChatGPT mid-shift to think through a differential when a presentation doesn’t fit a textbook pattern.
What actually slows down documentation after a call, and what doesn’t.
What I’m learning as a medical student that changes how I work as a paramedic, and vice versa.
Notes on HealthTech tools and ideas worth watching, from someone who’s actually in the back of the ambulance.
